How to choose a photographer when every portfolio looks good

Every portfolio you look at will be a highlight reel drawn from years of work. That does mean the pictures alone will not help you choose.

Ask to see one full gallery

Not a selection. One complete wedding, start to finish, exactly as the couple received it. This is the single most useful thing you can ask for.

Notice how they photograph people who are not the couple

Anyone can make two people in love look good in golden light. Look at the uncles. Look at the friend standing slightly outside the group.
