I photograph the parts of a day that nobody thinks to plan for.
Working across Victoria and beyond, I make unhurried, quietly observed photographs of weddings, elopements and the people who commission them. Half on film, all of it on the day itself — no staging, no shot list, no asking you to do it again for the camera.

Eleven years, and I still arrive early
My work sits somewhere between documentary and portraiture. I will spend most of the day out of your way, and about twenty minutes of it asking you to stand in good light and ignore me.

We have looked at these photographs more times than is reasonable. You caught the half hour nobody else noticed — Dad and his brother out by the fence, not saying much.
I was dreading being photographed and somehow forgot it was happening. That is the entire review.
The rain ruined the plan and made the pictures. Never once looked worried, which meant we never did either.
Six months on and our families still ask for prints. The gallery has been opened four hundred times. We counted.
What happens next
From first email to final gallery
Say hello
Send the date, the place, and a sentence about how you met. I reply personally within two working days, always.
Talk it through
A call, or coffee if you are nearby. We work out whether the fit is right before anyone signs anything.
The day, then the gallery
I photograph it. Six weeks later a private online gallery arrives, with high-resolution downloads and a print shop already set up.
